    We are a team of over 50+ undergraduate students who are studying Computer Science in college and share the passion to give back to our community during quarantine. Our mentors come from diverse background in teaching and work/internship experiences.

    Elizabeth Lin

    Welcome!! I am the Developer Program Manager and one of your instructors :) I’m a 3rd year CS student at UW Seattle and I enjoy teaching CS, I've been a TA for the Intro to Programming Series & Python class. Excited to meet you guys! :)

    Christin Lin

    I’m a third year undergrad majoring in Electrical & Computer Engineering at UW and I’m super excited for the summer to see this program up & going to help you all learn how to code! Outside of my work and school, I love to dance, jog, play the guitar, & sing! Fun fact about me is Elizabeth is my twin!

    Sophia Lin

    Hello everyone! My name is Sophia Lin and I am a high school junior at Newport High School and I am interested in Data Science and Aerospace Engineering. I am passionate about accessibility and wearable technology, enabling people with disabilities to utilize services. In my free time I like to act movie scenes, run, and construct crafts (I made a Howler once and decorated Easter eggs with BT21 LINE characters). I also love matcha, dragonfruit, and passion fruit! I am looking forward to supporting fellow Developers and learning throughout the program. Fun fact: I am Elizabeth and Christin Lin’s sister! :D

    Hi everyone! I’m a rising senior at UCLA studying Computer Science. I’m from San Jose, California and I got started coding through App Inventor, a website that teaches you to code by making Android apps. I learned about web development my freshman year in college, and I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned since then! Fun fact about me is that I used to play on UCLA’s quidditch team.

    Hi all! My name is Elisa Truong, and I'm a senior at the University of Washington studying Informatics. My focus is on Human-Computer Interaction and Software engineering. My hobbies include photography, designing, and reading!🙂 Excited to meet y'all in the future.

    Karen Zhang

    Hello everyone! I am a rising senior at the University of Washington double majoring in Biochemistry and Microbiology. You might be wondering, how did I get into computer science? I joined this amazing research lab at UW that works on storing digital information in DNA! Through my research, I got to explore computer science from a bioinformatics/data analysis standpoint. So feel free to talk to me not just about coding but also biotech if you're interested! In my free time I enjoy reading fantasy novels and playing video games. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Witcher to name a few :)

    Hi guys! I'm so excited to be a part of this program this summer and make it a great one in June-July! 😌 I am a rising Junior studying Computer Science and Finance at Washington University in St. Louis. After getting into coding for the first time my freshman year of college, I switched my major to CS and have since gotten really interested in full-stack development and web design. In my free time, I love to practice Indian classical dance, sing, and making diy greeting cards. Fun fact: When I went to India with my family this winter, a monkey stole my glasses and we had to get them back with mango juice.

    Hi there! I am a rising junior at the University of Washington studying Human Centered Design and Engineering! I love the intersection of social sciences with the power of technology, it is the reason why I am pursuing tech today. I hope to put my efforts for social good someday. I love going on runs, playing soccer, and I am a big Harry Potter nerd! Excited to meet everyone🙂

    Hi everyone! I graduated from UC Berkeley with my Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Media Studies and am now at Northeastern University pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science. I’m super excited to take part in this program because I feel like if I was exposed to STEM more when I was younger, I would have pursued it earlier! I’m passionate about the intersection of tech and science and tech for social good. Random things I love: Harry Potter, dogs, and purple.

    Hi everyone! I'm a rising sophomore at the University of Washington studying Computer Science. My first time coding was in a 7th grade robotics class, but the first time I became really interested was around my junior year of high school when I took a Python summer course. In my free time, I like cooking/baking, making art, and writing! Fun fact: I have a long list of recipes that I've developed but never published.

    Hi everyone! My name is Harleen Kaur and I'm a rising sophomore at the University of Maryland. I am majoring in computer science and am currently working on side projects this summer. Besides coding, I like to run long distances, bake and watch a lot of TV. I am looking forward to working with everyone this summer and can't wait to mentor the kids!!

    Hi there! My name is Locksley Kolakowski and I am studying Informatics at the University of Washington. I participated in a Girls Who Code two summers ago and it inspired me to start a career in STEM. My focus is on Human-Computer Interaction, and I am interested in going into Product Management or Consulting and would love to tell you more about these careers. I am also a huge fan of musicals, anything Disney, hiking, and traveling!

    Hello everybody! My name is Erving and I am a rising senior in CS from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I am interning at Atomic Dev (startup) and working on a side project. In my free time I either hike, cycle, cook, or watch sports(basketball and football). I am so excited to mentor future coders and work along with everyone here.

    Hello! I’m a student at the University of Waterloo (which is in Canada!) studying Computer Science. What I really enjoy about programming is the ability to make whatever you want! In my spare time, I love to read, watch movies + tv shows (pls watch avatar y’all it’s the best show ever), and make fun little web apps.     Hi! My name is Alicia Kincaid, I just graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Cybersecurity. I have a passion for Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science, and love doing projects with them! In September I'll be starting my job at Accenture (a consulting firm) doing security analytics. In my free time I enjoy baking, doing nail art, and playing Skyrim.

    Hello! :) My name is Alyssa Montgomery and I'm a Computer Science major at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah! I have a year left until I get my bachelor's degree, and after that, I'll be moving to Seattle to go to grad school for video game development😃 I was a teaching assistant for Girls Who Code last summer in NYC, and I loved teaching girls how to code so I'm super excited for this program🙂 I love cats, candy, lip balm, video games, traveling, and reading!

    Hey. My name is Joon Chang and I am a Junior at the University of Washington majoring in Informatics with a focus in data science and machine learning. My summer internship was canceled so I just plan on focusing on teaching kids and personal projects. I was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, but have lived in Seattle since 1994 when my family and I came as refugees.     Hi everybody! My name is Vanesa Munoz and I am a rising junior at UNC Chapel Hill. I’m studying computer science and I’m excited to be part of this program! I wrote my very first program in my first semester of college and I knew that this was what I wanted to do.     Hi! I'm Katie, a rising sophomore at Harvey Mudd College studying computer science with a concentration in gender/sexuality studies. I'm involved in my college as a diversity director for student government, a member of the W-ACM board, and an organizer for the Student Philanthropy Campaign. I'm from New York City and definitely identify as a city girl (NYC is objectively the best city in the U.S.).

    Hi everyone! I'm Ahona Salsabil, a rising senior and Computer Science major at Mount Holyoke College! This summer, I am interning at Microsoft as a Software Engineer remotely from Atlanta, Georgia. In my spare time, I love learning languages, watching kdramas and anime, running (without breaking my legs), and dancing. I'm also constantly finding new ways to make an impact on the community (such as this dope mentoring program!!) and my motivation is to help young brains learn about the beauty of coding and tech earlier on, as someone who started pretty late.
